Plan Oman the way locals would

Tell us your dates and what you love. OmanTripPlanner builds a day-by-day itinerary from real local knowledge: which wadis to reach before the heat, where the light is best, and how long the drives really take.

A day, planned properly

Every plan is built around Oman's sun, roads and tides. Here's one day from a coastal trip.

Day 2, Muscat to Sur

Sample plan
  1. Leave Muscat

About 1 h 45 min down the coastal highway. An early start beats the heat on the trail.

  2. Wadi Shab

A short boat ride to the trailhead, then roughly an hour's walk to the pools. Bring water shoes.

  3. Bimmah Sinkhole

A cool swim on the way back up the coast. Quietest after the lunchtime crowds leave.

  4. Ayjah lighthouse, Sur

Golden hour over the dhow harbour. Optional: a one-hour photoshoot with a local photographer.

Where the planner can take you

Mountains, souqs, coast and monsoon green. Each place comes with the timing and rules that make the visit work.

What a generic planner misses

Timed for the heat

Plans start early, put shade and swims at midday, and save viewpoints for the evening light.

Honest drive times

Mountain roads, 4x4-only tracks and boat crossings are counted, so a day never runs out of daylight.

Local rules, up front

Dress codes, mosque visiting hours, Ramadan timings and flash-flood warnings, where you need them.
